Care Stewards At The Thresholds
At The Thresholds is in its founding year.
We are building something real, and we are building it carefully. That means we are honest about where we are: we do not have a large team, we do not have every role filled, and we are not going to list positions that don't yet exist. What we do have is a clear vision, a registered nonprofit structure, and a commitment to growing with the right people slowly, with integrity.
Current Volunteer Positions
We are looking for women who understand the work from the inside, who have lived some version of what our community is living and who want to help build something that actually serves them.
Upcoming Volunteer Needs
As we grow, we anticipate needing support in the following areas. If any of these speak to you, reach out and introduce yourself — we would rather know you before we need you than scramble when we do.
Circle Facilitation Support
Women with facilitation experience, particularly those who have held space for caregivers or communities in Western Massachusetts. This is not a clinical role. It is a presence role.
Community Outreach
Women with roots in Western MA communities — Hampden, Berkshire, Franklin, Hampshire counties — who can help us reach the women who need this most and would never find us on their own.
Administrative & Operational Support
Detail-oriented support for grant writing, nonprofit administration, and organizational coordination. Experience with 501(c)(3) operations is a plus.
Storytelling & Documentation
Writers, photographers, or documentarians who want to help us record this founding chapter — not for content's sake, but for the archive. What we are building deserves to be remembered.
We do not offer unpaid labor in exchange for "exposure" or a letter of recommendation as primary compensation. If and when we bring on volunteers, we will be clear about what we can offer and honest about what we cannot yet.
