Why It Matters Here

Western Massachusetts has one of the highest rates of female depression in the state. Over 30% of female-headed households in Hampden County live below the federal poverty line. Black and Latina women earn as little as 60 cents for every dollar a man earns at every level of education. These women are not failing. They are living inside systems that were not built to support them. At The Thresholds was built specifically to meet them where they are.
