Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: August 15, 2025 · Last Updated: May 2026
Welcome to At The Thresholds. These Terms and Conditions govern your participation in our programs, use of our website, and access to any services, resources, or materials we provide.
At The Thresholds is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to women's wellness, facilitated community care, and accessible education — with a focus on women in Western Massachusetts. By enrolling in a program, attending an event, purchasing a product, making a donation, or accessing our website, you agree to these Terms. This is a legally binding agreement. If you do not agree, you may not participate in our programs or use our website.
1. Eligibility for Participation
You certify that you meet all applicable eligibility criteria for the program or service you are engaging with. Some programs — such as the Emergency Care Fund, Circle Membership, or one-on-one sessions — may have additional requirements, including age or residency criteria, demographic eligibility for targeted initiatives, or completion of intake forms or supplemental agreements.
We rely on the accuracy of the information you provide. Providing false, incomplete, or misleading information may result in removal from a program or forfeiture of support.
2. Nature of Services & Important Limitations
Our programs and offerings include — but are not limited to — community education, facilitated wellness circles, one-on-one sessions, digital guides and workbooks, membership community access, and direct financial support through the Emergency Care Fund.
You understand and agree that:
At The Thresholds is not a licensed healthcare, mental health, or legal services provider. Our offerings are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal, or crisis care.
Our one-on-one sessions and facilitated circles are educational and community-based in nature. They are not therapy, coaching with clinical claims, or diagnostic services.
Any wellness guidance offered through our programs is for educational purposes only. You are responsible for your own health decisions.
You are solely responsible for your personal well-being, safety, and decision-making when engaging with any program, resource, or recommendation.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988) or your local emergency services.
3. Payment, Donations & Sliding Scale Access
Program Fees: Purchases of guides, circle participation, or session packages are subject to our standard payment terms at the time of purchase. Sliding scale pricing is available — contact us before assuming you cannot afford a program.
Membership: Circle Membership is billed monthly and may be cancelled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months.
Donations: All donations to At The Thresholds are voluntary and non-refundable unless otherwise required by law. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. You will receive a receipt for all donations.
Emergency Care Fund Grants: Microgrants are non-transferable and may only be used for the designated purpose stated in your application. Misuse may result in forfeiture and removal from future consideration.
Supported Access Tier: Subsidized membership access is available upon request and is non-transferable.
4. Intellectual Property
All content created, published, or distributed by At The Thresholds — including text, images, designs, workshop materials, digital guides, and all web content — is owned by At The Thresholds or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or publicly display our content without our express written permission.
Our brand names, logos, slogans, taglines, and the overall look and feel of our materials are protected and may not be copied, imitated, or used without prior written consent.

If you submit creative contributions to At The Thresholds — writing, photography, artwork — you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and archive your work in connection with our mission, with attribution.
You may not use At The Thresholds branding to imply partnership, sponsorship, or endorsement without a signed agreement.
5. Community Standards & Code of Conduct
At The Thresholds is committed to building safe, respectful, and inclusive spaces. By engaging with our programs or website, you agree to:
Treat staff, volunteers, fellow participants, and community members with dignity and respect
Avoid discriminatory, harassing, harmful, or threatening behavior in any form — in person or online
Honor the confidentiality of what is shared in facilitated circles and sessions
Follow any program-specific safety or participation guidelines provided at time of enrollment
Violation of this Code may result in removal from a program, denial of future services, or other corrective action at our discretion. We will always aim to address concerns with care before taking corrective action where possible.
6. Confidentiality & Privacy in Facilitated Spaces
What is shared within our facilitated circles and one-on-one sessions is held in confidence by At The Thresholds staff and facilitators. We will not share identifying information from sessions without your explicit consent, except where legally required.
We ask all participants in group settings to honor the same standard — what is shared in the circle stays in the circle. We cannot guarantee confidentiality by other participants, but we set and uphold this expectation clearly in all group contexts.
7. Links to Third-Party Websites
Our website may include links to third-party organizations, resources, and platforms. We curate these links with care and only include organizations we believe serve our community well. However, we do not control, endorse, or take responsibility for the content or practices of third-party sites. Your interactions with external platforms are at your own risk and subject to their terms.
8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
You acknowledge and agree that:
Participation in any At The Thresholds program or event is voluntary and undertaken at your own discretion.
Facilitated circles and educational sessions may invite emotional engagement. It is your responsibility to assess your capacity to participate and to seek additional support if needed.
Except where prohibited by law, you release At The Thresholds, its staff, directors, volunteers, contractors, and affiliates from liability for any injury, loss, or damage connected to your participation, unless caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
9. Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless At The Thresholds from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from your use of our website, participation in our programs, or violation of these Terms.
10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Any disputes will first be addressed through good-faith communication. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts, as required by applicable nonprofit regulations.
11. Modifications to These Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and become effective upon posting. We will note the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page whenever changes are made. Your continued participation or use of our website after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
We will always aim to communicate significant changes directly to our community before they take effect.
